Nothing compares to smithing in its ability to turn 100 denars worth of materials into 10k or more profit with minimal effort. at least dont run caravans for the purpose of levelling trade (except possibly for a future quartermaster)Ĭompared to printing your own money with smithing: no. receiving loot that is then converted to money (probably smarter in terms performance). Most likely they just directly receive a monetary reward for participating in a battle rather than e.g. Your post motivated me to test the issue once again.Īlas, trading has no effect on the value of loot your clan parties generate. I used to be of the belief (mistaken as it turns out) that the trade skill had an impact on how much your companion parties would make from selling loot and hence it was a good idea to train them in trading.
I can´t remember that any caravan survived that long so.
